Registration Staff – Work where the convention starts, registration! If you’re outgoing, and enjoy meeting lots of new people, this is the position for you. You would work to enter attendee information, look up information on lost badges, and act as one of the most prevalent faces of the convention.
Programming Staff - Have what it takes to organize and execute a myriad of events, all in one weekend? Do you have some unique and exciting ideas for events or panels? Then apply for programming staff where you can collaborate to schedule panels, coordinate main events, and much more!
Artist Alley Staff - Help your fellow artists gain exposure by organizing the Artist’s Alley, and prevent plagiarism and copyright infringement. Working as AA Staff you would be in charge of signing artists to a roster for NatsuCon 2013 and providing a satisfactory experience for the artists.
Con Ops Staff - When the going gets tough, the tough get Con Ops. Convention Operations Staff see to it that the convention goes with as little trouble as possible. Con Ops are responsible for checking props, crowd control, moving equipment, and taking care to help attendees. Must be punctual and good with people!
Security - To make sure the convention experience is enjoyable to all, Security is in place to keep the unexpected from causing trouble. Jobs range from door control, crowd control, and incident response to general oversight and keeping the peace. Security Staff must be 21+, be willing to work with people, responsible, and able to keep calm amidst stressful situations. Attendance to meetings before the convention is required for anyone intending to apply.
A/V Staff - If you’re up to date with electronics, and could put your knowledge to good use, A/V Staff is the route to take. You would be responsible for setting up and operating equipment throughout the convention weekend. This includes but is not limited to the dances, Masquerade, Date Auction, Anime Rooms, and panel rooms.
Volunteer Coordination Staff - This one is for people with good organizational skills. No convention is able to run without its volunteers, and those volunteers need someone to help get coordinated and stay on task. By taking this position, you would grease the wheels of the convention, assuring wherever help was needed, help was provided.
Design Staff* - Designers are needed for graphic design and/or web design! A portfolio or several examples of work must be submitted to apply. This is one of the only Staff positions that requires no on-site work at the convention. The abilities to be creative and meet deadlines are a must! Designer Staff will be responsible for designing the website, fliers, program booklets – and any other design needs that may come up!
Sales Staff* - Help NatsuCon on the business end – selling ads, pitching sponsorships, and advertising the convention! NatsuCon is looking for motivated individuals who are interested in achieving goals and reaching out to the community. If this sounds like you, apply today!
