Panels are organized for attendees to have a chance to hear what the authorities have to say on certain topics… that or they’re just a fun time hosted by guests, staff, and crazy people dressed like anime characters.

Who Wants to be a Voice Actor?
The event will be half-panel and half-workshop.  The panel will focus on the ins and outs of voice-acting; what to do and what not to do.  Extra attention will show what an agent/producer looks for in a voice actor, the kind of work available in the industry, how location plays into voice acting and more.  The workshop will give audience members the chance to follow along with voice acting exercises, including breathing techniques, enunciation practices, warm-up exercises and a special chance to take part in a mock audition.  Panelists will audition, direct and critique participants in the skills taught to them during the workshop.  A real treasure for a hopeful, young VA!

Kingdom Hearts Fan Panel:
A panel for all of the Kingdom Hearts fans out there! This laid-back panel will be a chance to discuss the games and manga, your favourite characters, awesome moments and connect with other fans of these popular games! It will also provide a great opportunity to get pictures with fellow Kingdom Hearts cosplayers!

Cosplay 101 – Stage Makeup:
Think makeup is just something created for girly looks? Think again! This panel is to teach the bare basics of stage makeup: how to get that “anime eye” effect, how to make a female look masculine, a male look feminine, older, younger, and more!  It will also discuss why both males and females can benefit from makeup effects and how it can help “complete” your costume.  There will be stage makeup demonstrations on several different techniques and a few requested by the panel-goers, including wounds/scars, and prosthetics!

Yaoi Addicts Anonymous:
Yes, you know who you are! YAA is a Fan panel and discussion of: ‘What is Yaoi and why do we love it?’, favourite title, favourite characters, anime vs. manga, fanfiction and fanart. After the discussion there will be a top-secret game and yaoi screening (title to be determined at panel)!

PokéPower: Celebration!
Calling all Trainers, Breeders, Collectors, Fanatics and all other lovers of Pokémon — come join us for a Pokémon Celebration! Discuss your favourite Pokémon, your favourite types and their advantages and disadvantages, old versus new, Ginjinka, and much more! There will be opportunities to trade and battle on both the Nintendo DS and the (old-school) GameBoy — but take note that we condone only good sportsmanship, so no arguments, please! There will also be games and a karaoke contest – so brush up on your Poké-Rap and come join the party!

An introduction, overview, and celebration of the acclaimed 16-episode anime series, Baccano!
